Ways these Broncos together with their malleable quarterback can end the Chiefs' reign.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features text commentary of the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available through designated networks for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).
We're in the sixth week of the football calendar and after recent talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.
Notable in those games was the amount of infractions both committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play in London this Sunday.
But it was positive to observe how Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome the shortfall before direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, securing the victory by four points.
Denver have the defensive player of the year with CB Pat Surtain II. They are number one in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver prevailed in that contest.
They executed effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They did not necessarily sending more than four defenders instead they might position two LBs in the interior then drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.
At the start of the season, it was noted on a program how Denver could be the current year's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this season's underdog story?
Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled significantly and recent running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He now ranks fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love how the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" at the top of his playcall sheet.
That shows how the Broncos are a squad aiming to prioritize the run, because one can do a lot off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush while maintains in positive situations.
It's also helped QB Bo Nix, who came the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass all over, however they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.
His assets include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws over the middle or over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by the blitz. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and can throw in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.
If you consistently run the ball it eats up the clock and forces the defence to stay in play for longer, and if you've got a mobile QB the defence must cover the area downfield side to side. This proves exhausting.
Nix has bitten back at Payton during games at times and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for him to coach a young quarterback who's similar to play-dough. He can really build something up how he wants to build it. I believe it's a special experience for him.
The head coach has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. I think the success the Broncos are experiencing on offence is mostly down to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him into who he is.
There's no better a more qualified person guiding you, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build confidence.
I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But is the team strong enough to go against an elite team at full strength? Because that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.
Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a solid position to hold their division. The key to do is maintain this path.
They excel at leaning into their strength, which is the ground game, and this is exactly what they should do against the Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team yet to win any game.
Since the league started recording takeaways decades ago, the Jets are the first team to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.
After this Sunday's game, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In their division, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the division.
It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they face since the Broncos {beat|def
