A comeback Medvedev secured his first title for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a difficult season, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.

It is his initial trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt from spring of that year.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I got when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to question if his ability to compete at the top level was over.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to approach the net and perform aggressively, supported by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour title, took control to create a final set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game opportunities in a close final set before the champion broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
