Devoted followers of the actress are urging that a man who leaped a barrier and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore attendees had waited to meet the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the second of a two-part version of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, earning two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
